The CFO, COO or CTO you need, for the hours you actually need them.
Most owner led companies outgrow the founder before they can carry a full C-suite. I bring a named executive from the Leaders ADAPT bench into your company for a few hours a week or a few days a month, and I stay in the room so it works.
Three moments when the founder should not be carrying the seat
- You tried to hire a number two. It did not work, and you are still carrying the job. A fractional COO or integrator takes the operating load one to three days a week while you learn what the seat really needs.
- The numbers arrive late and the big calls get made on instinct. A fractional CFO or a CFO advisor gives you cash visibility, clean books and a second set of eyes on pricing and the bank.
- You want to sell in a few years and you do not know what a buyer will see. An exit readiness read shows where owner dependence, the numbers or the systems would lower the price, while there is still time to fix them.
Three ways to work
- Advisory. A sitting executive in your corner. One to two hours a week with a CFO, COO or CTO who has done the job, or a fixed price working session on one decision. You keep doing the work. You stop doing it alone.
- Fractional. An executive inside the company. One to three days a week inside your leadership team, owning a function: finance, operations, technology and AI, revenue or people. A monthly retainer, without the search or the full time salary.
- Exit readiness. Find out if you are ready to sell. For owners who want to sell in 12 to 24 months. The Three Lens Readiness Read looks at the company the way a buyer will, across leadership, operations and technology, at a fixed fee.
Who is on the bench
- Steve Shaw, Fractional CFO. Former CFO of Arcules and a CMA, with twenty years in finance leadership. Clean books, cash discipline, financial positioning before a sale and the numbers conversation with buyers and lenders. Also takes COO seats where the operating problem is finance led.
- Christopher Geddes, Fractional COO. An operator who scales owner led businesses and pairs operations leadership with AI transformation work.
- Marina St. Cyr, Fractional COO. SVP of Operations. Detail strong, she runs the cadence and the follow through so the weekly rhythm holds without the owner in the room.
- Sergey Dmitriev, Fractional CTO and AI systems. Builds and runs the AI and data work Leaders ADAPT delivers, including company knowledge systems, and trains leadership teams on AI tools. Certified Scrum Trainer.
- Steve Prodger, Fractional Chief Revenue Officer. Go to market architect. Builds revenue engines, pipeline discipline and sales leadership for owner led companies.
- Stacey Barnes, Sales advisor. Installs the sales systems, scripts, coaching and execution that turn sales teams into consistent closers.
- Thor L. Legvold, Leadership psychologist. Business IO psychologist with global M&A experience. Assessments, executive fit, team dynamics and the people decisions behind a scale up or a sale.
- CMO seat, Fractional CMO. A marketing leader who builds positioning and a measured pipeline. Matched to your company on the first call.
How it works
- Fit call with Andreas (30 minutes, free). A straight read on which seat you actually need. Advisory, fractional, exit readiness, or none of them.
- Match and scope (The first week). An introduction to the one executive who fits. A written scope and a fixed fee.
- The work, with Andreas in the room (For the engagement). Regular check ins against the scope. One point of accountability if something is off.
How pricing works
Every engagement is scoped to the company and quoted as a fixed monthly fee or a fixed price working session after the fit call. No hourly meter and no surprises.

Common questions
What is the difference between advisory and fractional?
Advisory is one to two hours a week with a sitting executive, or a fixed price working session on one decision. You keep doing the work and get an experienced second opinion. Fractional is one to three days a week inside your company, where the executive owns a function and does the work with your team.
What does it cost?
Every engagement is quoted after the fit call as a fixed monthly fee or a fixed price session, because two companies asking for a fractional CFO rarely need the same thing. Published market ranges by seat are in the fractional executive cost guide on the blog.
Who do I work with day to day?
The executive from the bench who fits your seat. Andreas takes the first call, makes the match, joins the start of the engagement and checks in against the scope, so you have one point of accountability the whole way through.
What if the match is wrong?
Tell Andreas. He takes the first call on every engagement and stays accountable for the outcome, so a wrong match is his problem to fix, not yours.
We want to sell in a few years. Where do we start?
Book an exit readiness call, or start with the free assessments. The first paid step is the Three Lens Readiness Read, a fixed fee look at leadership, operations and technology the way a buyer will see them, so you find out whether you are ready for the exit you are excited about.
What size of company is this for?
Owner led companies of roughly $5M to $50M in revenue, where the founder still carries a seat that should belong to someone else, or where a full time executive is not yet the right call.
By Leaders ADAPT, the leadership and AI advisory practice led by Andreas Pettersson, Canon's youngest CEO.
