Finding your north star is a system, not a mood
Success is not only mindset. Mindset matters, and then it runs out. What carries a leader through the years after the first win is systems, clarity and action, and most leaders have never written theirs down.
12 Steps to Finding Your North Star is a short guide that does exactly that. It walks you from knowing your own personality and values through to a personal scorecard with 10 lines on it, so that the direction you chose is something you can check against every quarter.
It opens with one uncomfortable question about what financial freedom would actually feel like, and it asks you to sit with the answer before you read a single step. That is on purpose.

Who this free guide is for
If you want a book about purpose to read on a plane and feel good about, this is not it. Every step ends with something to write down.
If you have built something, the numbers are fine, and you still do not know what the next 5 years are for, this was written for you.
How to use it
Do step 2 before anything else. The values and purpose step is the one people skip because it feels soft, and it is the one every other step depends on. Then build the scorecard and review it once a quarter.

Questions people ask before downloading
What does finding your north star actually mean?
It means having one clear statement of where your life and your business are going, based on your own values, so that day to day decisions can be checked against it. The guide gives you 12 steps to write that statement and a scorecard to keep it honest.
How long does the process take?
A first pass through the 12 steps takes an afternoon. The scorecard is where the value is, and that is a quarterly habit rather than a one time exercise.
Is this a business tool or a personal one?
Both, by design. Step 11 covers financial considerations and the scorecard has lines for business growth, leadership and financial freedom next to lines for balance and self care. Founders do not get to separate the two.
