Daniel Bear on working with Andreas Pettersson

One of the big things that I wasn't really doing for myself: I was undervaluing my worth inside of my companies, where I wasn't willing to negotiate as much for myself. I was always giving much too much away when I should have been keeping more for myself for the hard work that I was putting in. Working with Andreas helped me build out a scorecard and KPIs to hit, and also identify the right team members to be having in their seats.

We ended up minimizing our team from five people to just three people, and even now we're more efficient, just because we're able to be more focused and have more clarity. He just pointed out the obvious to me. Looking back, those were things I should have been tracking constantly.

You helped me really come to that breakthrough of having it do the work, building out family trees and doing the research. One of the things is letting two people go. That saved me the cost of two employees on a weekly basis. I don't know how I can put a number on that, honestly. Another thing is you pushed me to get two computers. That's pretty huge. I want to take that step to get the second computer and run it simultaneously.

Ten times faster, a hundred times. It does all of our underwriting now, all of our research, all of our letter writing. It almost feels like a hundred times more productive. From my health to my sleep to my eating right to my relationships, because putting everything in there just organizes you as a human. I think entrepreneurs are very scatterbrained type people, and when you can sit down and do the tasks and focus on the assignments that you give, it gives you lots and lots of clarity.

And clarity to me is getting rid of stress out of my life.
