Be a Guest on Adapt or Die: The Podcast for Owners Who Made the AI Decision Themselves

Adapt or Die invites CEOs, founders and owners of $5M to $50M non tech companies to talk about what they decided on AI, what they refused to touch, and what it cost. No vendors, no pitch.

By Andreas Pettersson, Host, Adapt or Die

Adapt or Die is a conversation between operators about leading through change, with AI as the change most of us are living through now. If you run a non tech company and you made an AI decision yourself, with or without a technical background, I would like you on the show.

Quick answer: Adapt or Die books CEOs, founders and owners of $5M to $50M non tech companies. Every episode asks three things: what you decided, what you refused to touch, and what it cost you. Thirty to forty five minutes on Zoom, no script, no pitch. You get the recording, the clips and one introduction to a previous guest. Apply with two questions.

Who we invite

CEOs, founders and owners of non tech companies with roughly $5M to $50M in revenue. Manufacturing, construction, professional services, real estate, healthcare services, distribution, consumer brands. People who sign the payroll and make the AI decisions themselves.

We do not book AI vendors, consultants selling AI services, or anyone whose product is the topic. The show is about what operators decided, not what they sell.

What the show is

Every episode asks a guest three things: what you decided, what you refused to touch, and what it cost you. Thirty to forty five minutes, recorded on Zoom, no script, no pitch. You get the recording and the clips to use however you like.

I grew Arcules from three people to 150, sold it to Canon and became the youngest CEO in the Canon group. I built and sold an AI company before ChatGPT existed. The questions I ask are the ones I wish someone had asked me.

Why say yes

  • You talk about your company to an audience of owners, not engineers.
  • You get a clean recording and short clips for your own channels.
  • You meet one other CEO. We introduce every guest to one previous guest in a non competing industry, if both agree.

The two question application

  1. What is one AI decision you made at your company in the last twelve months, and what happened? Three sentences is plenty.
  2. What is one thing you deliberately decided not to automate yet, and why?

Andreas reads every application himself. If it is a fit, you get a scheduling link for a fifteen minute pre call and a recording slot. If it is not a fit yet, we say so.

Apply to be a guest

Two questions, two minutes. Owners and CEOs of $5M to $50M non tech companies hear back within two business days.

Guest FAQ

Who does Adapt or Die book as guests?

CEOs, founders and owners of non tech companies with roughly $5M to $50M in revenue: manufacturing, construction, professional services, real estate, healthcare services, distribution and consumer brands. People who sign the payroll and make the AI decisions themselves, with or without a technical background. We do not book AI vendors, consultants selling AI services, or anyone whose product is the topic.

How long is the recording and what do I need?

Thirty to forty five minutes on Zoom, no script, no slides. A quiet room, a decent microphone or headset, and one real decision you are willing to talk about. The host asks three things: what you decided, what you refused to touch, and what it cost you.

What do guests get?

The full recording and short clips to use on your own channels, an audience of owners rather than engineers, and one introduction to a previous guest in a non competing industry, if both of you agree.

Is there any cost or any pitch?

No cost and no pitch. The show is about what operators decided, not what anyone sells. Guests are never asked to buy anything, and nobody pays to appear.

How do I apply and how fast do I hear back?

Answer the two questions on the application form. Andreas reads every application himself. If it is a fit you get a scheduling link for a fifteen minute pre call and a recording slot within two business days. If it is not a fit yet, we say so.

After the recording

Within a day you get the recording date and the clip timeline. Within a week of publishing you get the clips and the offer of one introduction. Thirty days later, one email with no pitch, asking what has changed with the decision you described. That is the whole follow up.

Previous episodes are at Adapt or Die, and several guests also appear on the testimonials pages.

What is the one AI decision you would not want to defend on a podcast? That is usually the best episode.

Listen to recent episodes first.
