Role Exposed

Level. Scores 76 to 100. Most of your week is exposed and decided elsewhere. Start with Direction.

0Exposure

This page describes the Role Exposed result. Take the ai task exposure check: how much of your job is ai taking to see your own score and dimension bars here; they are drawn from the link the tool gives you and nothing is stored on this page.

This check sorts your own weekly tasks by how much AI already does or could do them. It cannot predict whether your role, your employer or your industry will change, and it is not career or financial advice. The figures it compares you against are dated and cited on the statistics page.

Your exposure score is 76 or over. Most of your week follows the same steps each time or is already done faster by a tool, little of it is judgement and people, and you do not decide what AI does in your work. This check calls that Role Exposed, because the exposure is no longer in a few tasks. It runs through the shape of the role.

That is a serious reading, and it is still not a prediction. This check cannot see your employer's plans, your contract or your market. What it does tell you is that waiting to find out is the weakest position available.

Worry is the normal response here, and it is a poor adviser. It pushes people towards one of two moves: ignoring the tools in the hope that nobody notices, or trying to outwork them. Neither changes the reading. What changes it is moving towards the two things this check scores as least exposed: judgement and direction.

What to do this week. Two things. First, write your week as three lists, replace, assist and own, and be honest about the first one. Second, book thirty minutes with your manager and ask two questions: what is the plan for AI in our team this year, and where could I be useful in deciding it? Asking is not the risk. Being the last to know is.

Then look around you. The job security signals check reads the manager, company and market signals around your role separately, so you can see what is actually moving. The people least exposed are the ones who decide what the AI does, and the AI Leader Readiness Index is where that starts for a leader.

What to do with this result

Both views are here. If you answered the routing question, yours comes first.

If you do not manage people

Your next one on one. Ask two questions and write down the answers: what is the plan for AI in our team this year, and where could I help decide it? If there is no plan, offer to draft the first list of tasks to automate. Being part of the decision is the most direct way to bring your Direction bar down.

Engage and prepare. A role this exposed is a good reason to keep your record, your references and your network current, whatever the plan turns out to be. That is preparation, not pessimism.

The free leadership style quiz shows the judgement you would bring to leading others.

If you manage people

A manager whose own week is this exposed still holds one job that no tool is doing: deciding how the team's work changes and telling people the truth about it. Your team could answer these twelve statements about their own weeks. Ask them to, and plan the change with them rather than for them.

The AI Leader Readiness Index scores how ready you are to lead it, and the span of control calculator helps if the change means a different team shape. The 1:1 meeting builder structures the conversations in between.
