Task Safe

Level. Scores 0 to 25. Little of your week is exposed. Your judgement carries the job.

0Exposure

This page describes the Task Safe result. Take the ai task exposure check: how much of your job is ai taking to see your own score and dimension bars here; they are drawn from the link the tool gives you and nothing is stored on this page.

This check sorts your own weekly tasks by how much AI already does or could do them. It cannot predict whether your role, your employer or your industry will change, and it is not career or financial advice. The figures it compares you against are dated and cited on the statistics page.

Your exposure score is 25 or under. Little of your week follows the same steps every time, tools reach only a small part of your core work, much of your time goes on judgement and people, and you have some say in how AI is used where you work. This check calls that Task Safe. It describes your week as it is today, not your job for ever.

Read that last line twice. Task Safe is not a promise. This check cannot see your employer's plans, your industry or what the tools will do next year. It sorts the tasks you do now, and tasks change faster than job titles do. Take it again in six months.

What sits behind a low score is judgement. Your week is full of decisions with no clear right answer, conversations that need someone to read the room, and work that depends on knowledge nobody wrote down. That is the part of work that is hardest to hand to a tool. It is also the part people undervalue in themselves, because it does not show up as output.

The risk at this level is not replacement. It is standing still. A low score makes it easy to ignore the tools, because you do not need them. Colleagues who use them for the routine part of their week get more time for the judgement part, and judgement is what you are paid for.

What to do this week. Pick the one task in your week that comes closest to following the same steps every time. Try a tool on it for a week and write down what it did well and what it got wrong. You are not doing it to save an hour. You are doing it so that you know, first hand, what the tools can and cannot do in your work.

The people least exposed are the ones who decide what the AI does. If you manage people, the AI Leader Readiness Index shows how ready you are to make those decisions for a team.

What to do with this result

Both views are here. If you answered the routing question, yours comes first.

If you do not manage people

Your next one on one. Ask one question: which parts of our team's work do you expect to change with AI this year, and where would you like my judgement? It shows you are thinking ahead without sounding worried, and it gets you into the conversation early.

Replace, assist, own. Split your week into three lists. Replace: a tool could do it with a check from you. Assist: a tool makes you faster and you stay in charge. Own: decisions, trade offs and people. At your score the own list is the long one. Keep it that way on purpose.

If you want to see how you would lead other people through the change, the free leadership style quiz is a good start.

If you manage people

Your own week is not very exposed. Your team's weeks can be a different story, and they could answer these same twelve statements about their own work. The leader's job here is to decide what only a human does on your team, say it out loud, and move routine work to tools on purpose rather than by accident.

The AI Leader Readiness Index scores how ready you are to lead that change, and the AI leadership benchmark shows how other leaders score once each cut passes its floor of 30. The 5 Minute Leader is the daily habit set for the people side of the job.
